Linq help center

Answers now. A human within a day.

This is Linq support: the answers below cover most of what comes up, and when they don’t, a real person replies within one business day at support@linqsystem.com or through the contact form.

Getting started with Linq

How do I import my customers from Jobber or Housecall Pro?

Settings → Import. Bring them over from Jobber, Housecall Pro, or any CSV. Names, contacts and addresses land as customer records you can dispatch against the same day.

Does my whole team get access?

Yes. Linq has no per-seat pricing, so adding your techs does not add to the bill. Everyone who works the jobs gets a login.

What should I set up first?

Do I need to install anything?

No. Linq runs in the browser, on the office screen and on the phone in the truck.

Can I try it before paying?

Plans are flat-priced either way: see pricing.

Dispatch and scheduling help

How do I assign a job to a tech?

Drag it. The dispatch board is drag-and-drop: move the job onto the tech and the schedule updates for the office, the tech and the customer at once.

Do customers get told when the tech is coming?

Yes, automatically. The moment a job is assigned or moved, the customer gets an ETA text. Nobody has to remember to send it, which is the point.

A lockout just called and today is full. Now what?

Drop it in. Emergency jobs drag into the live board without wrecking it: the day reshuffles, the affected customers get updated ETA texts, done.

What does my tech see on their phone?

The whole job: notes, photos, history and the quote ride along with the dispatch, so the tech arrives briefed instead of calling the office from the driveway.

What happens to calls we miss?

Missed-call text-back sends the caller a text before they finish dialing your competitor, and the reply lands as a conversation, not a sticky note. If you want the phone answered outright at 2am, that is the AI receptionist, on Growth plans and up.

The sales version: how dispatch works.

Estimates and invoicing help

What do the invoice statuses mean?

Draft is yours. Sent means it is with the customer, Viewed means they opened it. Partial means some money landed, Paid closes it out, Overdue means it is past due, and Void takes it out of your numbers without deleting the record.

How do customers approve an estimate?

From their phone: they review it, sign it, and can put down a deposit on the spot the deposit is charged the moment they sign. No printing, no “I will get back to you.”

How do I take payment in the field?

Tap-to-pay on the phone at the door, or send a pay link for everyone else. Either way the invoice status updates itself: no evening spent matching payments to jobs.

What does card processing cost?

A flat 2.00% with a first-year rate lock, and no monthly card fees.

Can I see who still owes me?

Yes: outstanding, partial and overdue balances by customer, with the invoice one tap behind every number. The reports page covers the rest of the money view.

The sales version: invoicing and payments.

AI receptionist and phone help

Which plans include the AI receptionist?

Growth plans and up. Every Linq plan includes AI in the product; the 24/7 receptionist that answers your line is the Growth-and-up part.

What does the receptionist actually do?

It answers around the clock, handles the caller’s questions, books the job straight onto the dispatch board, and texts back any call that slips through and it can quote from rules you set, though it is not reading a price book.

Do I get a business phone number?

Can I hear what it said on a call?

Calls are recorded, so yes every call is transcribed and searchable. You can review how the 2am lockout got booked over coffee.

What happens if it cannot handle a call?

If it genuinely cannot help, it takes their details and books it as a standard job so a human follows up, and it can transfer a live caller to dispatch. The design goal is simple: no caller ends at a dead voicemail.

The sales version: the AI receptionist.

Account, billing and security help

How do I change plans?

Current tiers are on pricing.

How do I export my data?

Settings → Data. Your customers, jobs and records export whenever you want them. It is your data; the door is not locked from our side.

Do you charge per user or per tech?

No. One flat price covers the whole crew. Adding a tech changes your dispatch board, not your invoice.

How do I cancel?

Is Linq down right now?

Check the status page: it says so before we do. If something looks wrong on your end only, email support@linqsystem.com and a human digs in.

Still stuck

That is what the inbox is for.

Email support@linqsystem.com or send the contact form, and a real person replies within one business day. Say what you were doing and what happened instead; that is usually enough to skip a round trip.
